SPECIAL ELECTION:
APRIL 2, 2024
CON CHELLIS.
A Business Leader. A Civic Leader.
Summerville business leader Con Chellis believes this is an all-hands-on-deck moment for Summerville. We need leaders with established relationships to step forward and get Summerville moving in the right direction.
Chellis is seeking the Town Council District 3 to replace Summerville's newly-elected Mayor Russ Touchberry. The special election will be April 2, 2024.
Chellis served as a Dorchester County Councilman from 2017 to 2018 and in the State House from 2018 to 2020. In the State House, he served on the Tax Reform Committee, and while on County Council, he spearheaded a reform of business license fees, lowering fees for our small businesses. He decided not to pursue reelection to the State House to spend more time with his family and on his business.
Con is highly engaged in his local community - having served as a president of the Summerville Exchange Club, the co-founder of the Summerville High Athletic Club (SHAC), a board member for the Summerville Chamber of Commerce, and in the Summerville Rotary Club.
